Electrical drawings and bill of quantities by country
In short: from the architect's floor plan (DWG or DXF) we return the complete residential electrical set — single-line diagrams, the distribution board, socket and lighting layouts, earthing, the calculations — and the bill of quantities. The set itself is the same everywhere. What changes from one country to the next is the standard, what the documents are called and who signs them, and that is what this page sets out.
First project free · 2–5 working days · editable, unstamped DWG, DXF, PDF and Excel.
Updated October 2026. Covers the United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, France, Germany and the Gulf. For the United States, see the NEC permit-set guide.

United Kingdom — BS 7671
We draw domestic installations to BS 7671, the IET Wiring Regulations. The set is built around the consumer unit: its schedule lists every way, the final circuit it feeds, the protective device and its rating. Maximum demand is assessed with diversity, and cable sizes are checked for current, voltage drop and fault current. Earthing and main protective bonding have a drawing of their own.
From a bare architectural DWG we do the design as well as the drawing: we lay out the lighting and small power, allocate the circuits and arrange the board to your criteria. In England and Wales, notifiable domestic work also falls under Part P of the Building Regulations; certification stays with the installer or the competent person, never with us. The set carries your title block and nothing of ours.
Italy — CEI 64-8
In Italy the set is the elaborati elettrici: the schema unifilare of each quadro elettrico, the power distribution, the layouts of sockets and light points, earthing — and the computo metrico estimativo, priced with your own unit rates. We draw to CEI 64-8.
Who signs depends on the size of the installation. A design by a professional on the register (an engineer or a qualified industrial expert) is mandatory when the connected power exceeds 6 kW or the dwelling exceeds 400 m²; below those thresholds the qualified installer's technician may prepare it. Either way, the decisions and the signature stay with you. Confirm the requirement for your case.
Spain — REBT
For Spain we draw to the REBT, the low-voltage electrotechnical regulation. Alongside the esquema unifilar, the cuadro and the plans, the set includes a calculation report (load forecast, conductor sizes, voltage drop and short-circuit current) and the mediciones y presupuesto as an Excel file.
We work as your oficina técnica externa: per project, per drawing package, or as extra capacity when work peaks. The competent technician reviews the set and signs it under their own qualification.
France — NF C 15-100
In France the set is called a dossier: the single-line diagrams, the tableau électrique, the layouts, the earth electrode and bonding, and the notes de calcul — power balance, conductor and breaker sizes, voltage drop and short-circuit current (Icc). The take-off is the quantitatif. We draw to NF C 15-100.
The single-line diagram and the plans can go into the file you prepare for Consuel. We work in sous-traitance, in your title block; the professional in charge reviews and signs.
Germany — DIN VDE 0100
For Germany we draw to DIN VDE 0100 and DIN 18015, for a single-family house (Einfamilienhaus) or an apartment block. The board is the Verteiler, shown in the Übersichtsschaltplan. The bill of quantities is a Leistungsverzeichnis built from the Massenermittlung: positions with description, unit and quantity, ready for your unit rates.
We work as production support for electrical planners in HOAI work stages 5 and 6 — execution planning, take-off and the Leistungsverzeichnis. The responsible planner keeps the decisions and the signature.
UAE and the Gulf — DEWA, ADDC, SEC
In the Gulf the rules come from the supply authority: DEWA in Dubai, ADDC in Abu Dhabi, SEC in Saudi Arabia. Submissions go only through enrolled consultants and contractors. We are not one of them; we are the production team behind one. For a villa or an apartment we prepare the DB schedules and the load schedule (connected and demand load), cable and breaker sizing, voltage drop, earthing, the single-line diagram and the BOQ.
The consultant or engineer of record reviews, takes responsibility, stamps and submits. Tell us which authority the project falls under: if its requirements are not set up yet, we set them up before we quote, so the first set for a new authority can take a little longer.
The same in every country
We never stamp or certify anything. The decisions — the number of circuits, how the board is split, cable sizing and protection — stay with the person who signs; we do the drafting, as your subcontractor and under your title block. Every drawing, schedule and quantity comes from the same data, so the single-line diagram, the board and the bill of quantities agree before you open them.
The first project is free, so you can judge the output before you pay; after that you get a price per project up front. Turnaround is two to five working days once the base drawing checks out. If your country is not on this page, tell us where the building goes up; we set the rules up before we quote.
See the symbols in our DXF symbol set, a full residential set in the sample project, and check cable sizes with the voltage-drop calculator. Weighing software against a service? See the side-by-side comparison.
Send one floor plan, get the full electrical set back — the first one free. You review and sign; we only draft.
This page is practical orientation; the current edition of each standard, the supply authority's requirements and the review of the person who signs always govern.
